Conflict doesn't shake me. And at first, I couldn't figure out why.

Most everyone supports affordable housing. 𝐔𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤.

Someone just shared how my TEDx Talk impacted her.
A 14-story building was going up in her backyard. The developer was zoning a portion of it for affordable housing.

When I first adopted my daughter - who came from a background of neglect - 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐩 𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐲.

Would she think I wasn’t coming back?
Would this feel like abandonment all over again?

This week, I had the chance to join the Yardi team and several housing authority leaders in Boston to dive into a critical conversation: how AI is reshaping workflows and service delivery in the housing space.

Then came a nudge from Eric Wolking who said: “You should get out there.” I had maybe 200 followers, barely any engagement, and more hesitation than confidence.
