When Tradition Blocks Progress

“We’ve never done it this way” is one of the most expensive lines in housing.

It sounds safe.
It feels familiar.
But it blocks progress.
The moment we challenge it … things shift.

Take a typical HCV program:
“We don’t host 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐬. No one comes.”

Now look at 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐱:
They made a decision to value landlords as partners.

They host landlord open houses. At least two times a year. And people show up.

That’s the difference between protecting old assumptions … and building new outcomes.

Housing is too important to keep doing the same old, same old while expecting the same results.
