Life Podium Moments
The Olympics tap into something universal. The podium gets the spotlight, but the backstory is what I like to hear.
What’s their personal journey? How did they train?
What was the agony-of-defeat moment?
How many times did they almost quit?
The hardest part isn’t just the finish line.
It’s the parts leading up to "the" moment.
The gold medal wins are flashy but...
𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐚 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐤𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮.
That's the life podium moment.
Even the irony of watching the Olympics from the couch.
The only time in my life when I’ve been vested in curling, figure skating, and sports that involve snow.
