Build Before the Blizzard

The worst time to figure out your snow removal plan … is when the snow is already falling.

Anyone in property management knows this.

If you’re calling vendors during a blizzard, trying to find salt, or scrambling to coordinate staff - the problem didn’t start with the storm.

It started long before it. The best-run properties handle winter differently.

Housing compliance works the exact same way and “blizzards” also appear:
- Auditors scheduling a file review
- Staff turnover
- New regulations
- System of record changes
- Backlogs

And if that’s the moment a team starts tightening files, reviewing processes, or retraining staff ... it is already a scrambled mess.

These orgs have established:
- Consistent file quality
- Ongoing training
- Internal reviews and quality control
- Staff redundancy

And yes.
𝐀 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐡𝐨’𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐲. 𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐠𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠.

Just like snow removal, compliance works best when it’s built into the day-to-day operations ... not activated during a storm.
