Leadership in Platform Boots

The end of the school year - and this is how I showed up to my firstbornโ€™s last day of school. Yes, full costume. Platform boots and face paint.

This started our family tradition and how we โ€œ๐ฌ๐ก๐จ๐ฐ ๐ฎ๐ฉโ€ on their last day of their senior year at their school. In front of all their friends! This year we have two seniors, and the antics are high.

Why do it? Because showing up matters. ๐˜ˆ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฅ ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฃ๐˜ข๐˜ณ๐˜ณ๐˜ข๐˜ด๐˜ด๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ ๐˜ต๐˜ฆ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฏ๐˜ด ๐˜ด๐˜ฆ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฎ๐˜ด ๐˜ญ๐˜ช๐˜ฌ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ข ๐˜ณ๐˜ช๐˜ต๐˜ฆ ๐˜ฐ๐˜ง ๐˜ฑ๐˜ข๐˜ด๐˜ด๐˜ข๐˜จ๐˜ฆ.

Recently, on an industry panel, I said ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ง๐ง๐ข๐ง๐  ๐š๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ๐๐š๐›๐ฅ๐ž ๐ก๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐š๐ฆ๐ฌ ๐ข๐ฌ ๐š ๐ฅ๐จ๐ญ ๐ฅ๐ข๐ค๐ž ๐ซ๐š๐ข๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ญ๐ž๐ž๐ง๐š๐ ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ #IYKYK:

๐Ÿ˜ฎ You ride emotional roller coasters (sometimes your own)
๐Ÿ˜ And still ... you keep showing up, because people are counting on you

๐‹๐ž๐š๐๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ takes grit, humor, and the occasional wild creative idea.

So, hereโ€™s to channeling our inner rockstars, making memories, and showing up.
