At this stage in my career, I donโ€™t have the time or patience for foolery.

I have 5 kids (ages 25-14), two with special needs. I am CEO of a national compliance and training company focused on affordable housing. Life is full, and I lead with that same fullness.

๐ˆโ€™๐ฏ๐ž ๐š๐ฅ๐ฌ๐จ ๐ฅ๐ž๐š๐ซ๐ง๐ž๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐š๐ญ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐Ÿ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐š๐ซ๐ž๐งโ€™๐ญ ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฉ๐š๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐ž. They can mutually strengthen each other. ๐˜ ๐˜ฆ๐˜ต, ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ธ๐˜ข๐˜ด ๐˜ข ๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ฎ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ธ๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฏ ๐˜ ๐˜ฅ๐˜ช๐˜ฅ๐˜ฏโ€™๐˜ต ๐˜ฆ๐˜ท๐˜ฆ๐˜ฏ ๐˜ฉ๐˜ข๐˜ท๐˜ฆ ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ด๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ๐˜ข๐˜ญ ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฉ๐˜ฐ๐˜ต๐˜ฐ๐˜ด ๐˜ข๐˜ต ๐˜ฎ๐˜บ ๐˜ฅ๐˜ฆ๐˜ด๐˜ฌ.

A recent McKinsey article on ๐ฐ๐ก๐จ๐ฅ๐ž-๐ฌ๐ž๐ฅ๐Ÿ ๐ฅ๐ž๐š๐๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ resonated deeply. It noted that โ€œorganizations that support the whole person, offering flexibility and demonstrating empathy are more likely to attract and retain top talent.โ€

Hereโ€™s what now helps maximize my work ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ฅ preserve my energy for my family:
โœ… ๐“๐ก๐ž ๐ˆ๐๐ž๐š๐ฅ ๐‚๐ฅ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐ญ: If we want to achieve compliance more than the client does, then itโ€™s not a fit. We wonโ€™t sign the deal.
โœ… ๐‘๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ ๐๐ž๐จ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ž, ๐‘๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ ๐Œ๐ข๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง: I hire those who believe in affordable housing, not just anyone resume-hopping.
โœ… ๐‚๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ž ๐ˆ๐ฌ ๐Š๐ž๐ฒ: The balance of individualism + accountability + quality is a tricky dance, but itโ€™s non-negotiable.
โœ… ๐Ž๐ฐ๐ง๐ข๐ง๐  ๐Œ๐ฒ ๐‹๐ž๐š๐๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ ๐’๐ญ๐ฒ๐ฅ๐ž: Efficient, focused, and effective. Even if that gets me called โ€œbossy.โ€ (true story)
