Is Your Organization Creativity-Friendly?

A lot of organizations claim to value creativity, but there's a difference between saying it and actually supporting it.

How can you tell which is which?

What if someone said, “let’s hang a bunch of lanterns, balloons, or umbrellas in an alleyway?” Would others realize that can build a sense of place and visual interest? Or would a big thumbs down happen?

𝐀𝐬𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐢𝐟 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞:
☆ what opportunities and forums foster brainstorming?
☆ how is solution making encouraged and rewarded?
☆ is there a known process of how collaboration happens?
☆ are there phrases used by leadership to signal and embrace new approaches?

Say yes to hanging lanterns.
