Audacity in the Room

"Wow. What are you doing here?"
That was the first question said out loud when people saw me at our job fair. Most CEOs don't show up to a job fair. They ask to hear how it went later.

I'm working to break that brand of thinking.

Today, job seeking hopefuls walked into a room with:
- Very clear signs. No confusion on wayfinding.
- No lines. Enough staff to field questions.
- Every interview felt like an intimate conversation, not a cattle call.
- Goodie bags. Logo M&Ms. Corporate aura that is welcoming.

Nearly 100 interviews done.

Most companies run a job fair like a check list.
Tables. Applications. Done.
But that's just "activity." Bulk productivity.
And all transactional.

We started something else with this job fair:
→ How do we want people to feel the second they walk in?
→ How does our culture show up before they've even sat down?
→ Which of our own leaders should be in the room showing what's possible?

That's audacity.
Not doing something flashy. Just not defaulting to the way job fairs have always been done.

I show up even though I'm the CEO because the strategy is worth breathing in.

This is what the Audacity movement looks like in practice.
Not loud. But deliberate.

And yes, I grabbed the M&Ms with the Quadel logo!
