We Must Do Better
As a mother with children having significant special needs, my heart is pierced to read that 56% of housing discrimination cases reported were based upon disability. Did you know that? I was shocked.
Climbing Mt. Rainier
A couple of decades ago, I climbed Mt. Rainier (WA) ... training for months, equipped with a guide, and ready to tackle the staggering 14,000+ foot elevation. Mountaineering while tied to other people for safety. But what arose beyond my control were obstacles from: the daily weight of the pack, the ice axe calluses, and being pinned down by a quick snow storm.
