Women’s History Month

Two people at the Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic. One of the people is Gabby Fortune.

Women’s History Month unfolds with diverse definitions, purposes, and reflections. For me, women’s affirmation and empowerment manifested with my own daughter.

Attending the Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic in Columbus, Ohio, she had the chance to meet her longtime inspiration, Gabby Fortune. They swapped notes on training and shared weightlifting tips, but they also encouraged each other. 👊🏋🏻

Witnessing other women of similar shape and size at the event prompted my daughter to confront her own self-perceptions and misconceptions. In her own words, 'There are others who look like me, where size isn’t numerical but based on 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡. 🎯🎤

She realized a new reality of what defines her. 🔎❤️

This experience underscores the significance of representation. Female leadership, challenging internal voices, and speaking our truths. Collaborating with other women to sharpen our qualities is equally important. 📣 📢

Let's collectively embrace the profound importance of women's achievements – past, present, and into the future. 💪
