Wholeness Is the Strategy
I used to think I had to compartmentalize - hide the mom part, downplay the advocacy, quiet the enthusiasm, “act” like a CEO. Not anymore.
I’m a mom of five, including two with special needs. I’ve navigated IEP meetings, unexpected medical turns, and the quiet weight of systems never built with families like mine in mind.
I started in affordable housing not because it was easy or glamorous, but because I know what it’s like to 𝐟𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲. 𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘐 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘦𝘥 𝘢 𝘫𝘰𝘣.
I know how much 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 - especially for 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐫𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐢𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫.
That’s why I don’t waste time on noise.
That’s why our team focuses on mission-aligned clients, not just contracts.
Here’s what I’ve learned and what helps me lead from a place of purpose and sustainability:
✅ 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐏𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐎𝐧𝐥𝐲: I hire people who believe in housing, not just those chasing a paycheck.
✅ 𝐍𝐨 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐟: I don’t separate the personal from the professional. My lived experience is part of what makes me effective.
✅ 𝐄𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐚 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐲 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝: I lead with urgency, clarity, and detail.
