Leading a Team of Superheroes

After a day of asset management oversight, several of us at Quadel drove to the neighboring city of Metropolis - a true place in Illinois. With slightly over 6,000 residents, they had embraced their name and adopted a kitschy twist to their identity.

We laughed until we were slap happy, partly from the day's exhaustion, and partly from the town's oddities we had discovered.

In management, there's a realization that everyone on your team has super powers and the corresponding kryptonite. But few of us have a true understanding of how those mingle in reality.

So, the first rule in leading a team of superheroes in the super universe? Find your team!

- Not mini versions of you either.
- Find those who can work through intensity, details, juggling demands, and even life.
- Can you laugh together? You may not think that's important but it's a temperature read on collaboration.
- Are you able to accept and give constructive criticism as a method of growth?

When you have a team like this, that's where a synergy of strength comes from! Not every company has this and during intense assignments, it shows.

Remember that when you pick your next compliance partner.
