Juggling Mom & CEO Life

Jars with various icons on the lids.

As a mom balancing work and family life, I've missed countless school events over the past 25 years. At first, it weighed heavily on me, suffocating me with guilt.

Until I formed a plan, compromised, and became realistic. 🎤🎯

I determined which events were non-negotiable and which ones could be missed. I worked to set expectations with my kids and then continued to wing it in the parenting department. 🤪🤪

That's when I became the holiday Cookie Mom and now have graduated to being the Yogurt Mom for the high school swim team each year. 🏆🥇

This is a lot like working in the affordable housing industry🔎:
- the task list is larger than the space to execute
- managing expectations helps everyone
- the realization that you aren't Nutella, so you can't make everyone happy
- find where you are supposed to be and then trail blaze in your talents!

In short, be the Yogurt Mom!

How about you? Any lessons learned in your personal world that cross over to the professional?
