It Started in a Tent

The Forbes team and I are working on something special behind the scenes.
And in many ways, it started long before we knew it would.
It started in a tent.

It started moving from one unstable housing situation to another.
For years, I rarely talked about that part of my origin story. Then I shared it on a TEDx stage.

What surprised me wasn't the story itself. It was how many people connected with it. Because they understood what it feels like to wonder whether your circumstances will define your future.

The stories that shape us most aren't about where we started. They're about what we choose to do next.

Lately, I've been talking a lot about 𝘈𝘢π˜₯𝘒𝘀π˜ͺ𝘡𝘺.

Consider it an Easter egg drop. A little Taylor Swift or Marvel-style hint about what's coming.

This project brings together lessons from my leadership journey and nearly 150 podcast conversations with leaders who chose action over certainty.

Because sometimes the most audacious thing you can do is refuse to let your starting point write the rest of the story.

More soon.
