Audacity Through Hard Days

There’s usually a moment when you wonder if you’re on the right path in life.

Recently, I heard someone flippantly discussing a labor rate change that would negatively impact single mothers.

I could feel the disappointment in my core when they said it.

Maybe they don’t know. 𝘖𝘳 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦.

But I know what happens when a paycheck shrinks. A budget that was already stretched becomes impossible.
Essential bills get paid late.
Housing stability becomes housing insecurity.

I was raised by a single mother.

I remember what it felt like to be the kid who went without. Those experiences leave fingerprints on how you see the world.

Housers, we need to keep going.

Building something with so much Audacity that the hard days don't get the final vote.
