The Audacity to Tell Your Story

𝘈𝘶𝘥𝘢𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘺 just hit #1 on Amazon in two categories: Women & Business and Business Leadership.

Of course, I’m going to say thank you.

But.

I also want to tell you how much I’ve been holding my breath.

Underneath the excitement was a whole lot of what if…

What if it doesn’t matter?
What if the message doesn’t land?
What if putting my story out there isn’t enough?

Writing a book is one thing. Putting pieces of yourself on paper and letting the world decide what they mean? That’s a different kind of audacity.

I wrote this book because I believe audacity isn’t about being reckless or fearless. 𝐈𝐭’𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐢𝐭.

And now, here we are. #1 in two categories.

I’m celebrating that. I’m grateful for every person who has purchased the book, shared it, or helped bring it to life.

And I’m reminding myself of something I probably should have known all along:
