Necessity Created Audacity
Some of the biggest decisions in my career? Confidence didnโt drive them.
Necessity did.
Knowing I needed health insurance for my family.
Knowing the financial insecurity I accepted as a child, was not going to be the insecurity I hand to my children.
Sure, the fear of failing was a really loud voice.
But each step felt like the next right thing to do.
I've come to think that's what audacity actually is.
Not fearlessness. Not bravado.

Usually, it's because
It's the thing I've relied on most.
And the thing I've watched the women I admire get called "too much" for.
What I now know is that the steps that scared me most ... taught me the most:
- having an affordable place to live is a โhand up, not a handoutโ
- the person who said yes to housing my siblings and I changed the trajectory of all of our lives
- homelessness is a moment in time. Itโs not a forever identity. Why? Because I am living proof. Iโm CEO today.
